A Romantic Boutique Tuscany Stay

We love the challenge of planning trips for clients who have never visited Italy. In the case of Tuscany, everyone seems to have a certain expectation of what they will experience, formulated from their unique established travel tastes and aesthetics.
In planning a romantic getaway for a busy professional couple who scarcely had time to discuss their travel plans among each other nonetheless Google boutique hotels in Tuscany for hours on end, we chose Villa Fontelunga in the Val di Chiana. The property provided the sense of a villa stay, but with ample dining options and services. On Friday evening, the gracious property owners hosted a poolside aperitivo for their guests.
The following day, after an escorted wine tasting at the nearby Fattoria di Santa Vittoria and then on to the Villa di Nottola Cantina in Montepulciano, with a stop for lunch in the medieval hilltown of Monte San Savino, the happy travelers had another opportunity to enjoy the cucina offered at Villa Fontelunga with a casual cooking class, accompanied by wine and music, like a dinner party preparing a fabulous meal in a gorgeous setting.
